22nd edition – Latina 2021
L’appuntamento annuale con il Festival sembra scandire il tempo: produce l’attesa, alimenta la creatività, segna una tappa, sollecita l’ulteriore progettualità… Il suo ricorrere, puntuale ed immancabile, conforta e rassicura: furono tenacia e determinazione a sostenerci lo scorso anno affinchè anche il 2020 potesse celebrare un’edizione che, nella sua unicità, porgesse a ciascuno l’opportunità di proseguire il proprio personale viaggio di esplorazione nella bellezza e nello stupore. Ne uscimmo rinforzati e corroborati, grazie soprattutto a quel novero di sorprendenti manifestazioni di impegno e partecipazione profuse da tanti giovani artisti italiani cui riconosciamo, ancora oggi, apprezzamento e gratitudine. Certo, il tempo si è reso complesso per tutti ma, lo diciamo sottovoce, parrebbe intravedersi una via d’uscita; una risoluzione attesa ed agognata sembra farsi più vicina. Occorre ed occorrerà ancora ogni nostra attenzione; scelte di rispetto per sé e per gli altri si rendono opportune; il nostro senso di responsabilità ci accompagnerà fino alla soluzione del problema! Nell’attesa sarà all’Arte che affideremo ogni nostra speranza ed il compito più arduo: ciò che presenteremo nelle piste di tutti i Circhi del mondo costituirà per quanti lo desidereranno la più straordinaria chance per confrontarsi con la rappresentazione della gioia, della bellezza, della leggerezza. Mai come in questo tempo, la vera mission del Circo sembra incarnare un’opportunità di cura e sollievo a disposizione di tutti. Chissà se questa valutazione sia chiara anche a quanti, dalle stanze dei bottoni, talvolta parrebbero riservarci un ascolto timido ed un’attenzione non sempre foriera di reale sostegno. Non credo sia un caso, tuttavia, che i più importanti complessi circensi del mondo, così come le più grandi strutture che producono spettacolo dal vivo, nonostante le innumerevoli difficoltà legate alle contingenze, si siano stretti attorno al Festival realizzando partnership capaci di sostenerlo e di sposarne ogni obiettivo: un segno tangibile e forte, una dimostrazione di affetto corale e libero che, ancora una volta, dimostra le potenzialità del nostro comparto. A tutti loro il mio più sincero ringraziamento! Ed a tutti voi, artisti, operatori del Circo e dello spettacolo dal vivo, responsabili della comunicazione, appassionati e spettatori, l’augurio di una ventiduesima edizione del Festival che, nello scandire il trascorrere di un anno abbia prodotto l’attesa, alimentato la creatività, segnato una tappa, sollecitato l’ulteriore progettualità…
The annual event of the Festival seems to mark time: there is the wait, then it promotes creativity, it delineates milestones, and it generates other projects… with its punctual and reliable recurrence, it comforts and reassures: the 2020 edition only took place because of the determination and tenacity of those involved in an edition that was unique, allowing everyone an opportunity to follow their dream and explore the beauty and wonder of the Circus. We emerged stronger and even more convinced, thanks in large part to the presence and efforts of many young Italian performers, to whom we are still immensely grateful. Of course, these times have made things more difficult for all of us, but we can quietly see brighter days on the horizon, as the way out seems to come closer. Our care and attention is still needed, as are choices that respect ourselves and others, and this sense of responsibility will stay with us until all this is over! As we wait, it will be the arts to which we look for hope: what we, the Circuses of the world, present to our audiences will be a beacon of beauty, joy, and a welcome moment of light-heartedness for those who wish to come and watch. Never before has the true mission of the Circus been so important, and a golden opportunity to cheer people up. Who knows if this thought has occurred to those in power, who sometimes seem to ignore our voices and fail to ‘listen’ to our needs. It is not casual, however, that the most important Circus companies and live performance enterprises, despite the inherent difficulties involved, have joined forces with the Festival, forming partnerships to help and sustain it: a strong and tangible sign of united affection that, once again, shows the potential of our sector. I send them all my most sincere thanks! To all the performers and professionals of the Circus and of live performance arts, to the communicators, to the fans and to the public, I wish you a 22nd edition of the Festival that was worth the wait, promoted creativity, delineated milestones, and will generate other projects…

Giovedì 14 Ottobre ore 21 (spettacolo A);
Venerdì 15 Ottobre ore 21 (spettacolo B);
Sabato 16 Ottobre ore 16.30 (spettacolo B) e ore 21.00 (spettacolo A);
Domenica 17 Ottobre ore 15.30 (spettacolo A) e ore 19.00 (spettacolo B);
Lunedì 18 Ottobre ore 20.30, Spettacolo di Gala e premiazione dei vincitori.
Spettacoli A e B:
Gli spettacoli denominati A e B, pur essendo diversi, sono di identico ed elevatissimo livello dal punto di vista artistico e corrispondono esclusivamente alla ripartizione degli artisti in gara in due gruppi. Gli “Special Guest” saranno presenti in tutti gli spettacoli.
