Countdown: - 24 giorni al Festival
Il Cast si fa ancora più ricco! Sono 5 le grandi attrazioni ammesse oggi alla competizione del Festival.
Provengono da Ucraina, Spagna, Italia, Germania, Brasile, Colombia, Portogallo: la sequenza dei numeri in competizione conferma l’equilibrio tra la tradizione circense e l’irrinunciabile esigenza di innovazione. Il Duo El Beso, il Duo Olmos, i Saly Brothers, Sascha Bachmann e la Troupe Peres hanno allestito performance capaci di sorprendere il pubblico dell’International Circus Festival of Italy in scena a Latina tra poco meno di un mese; palo aereo, bascula, bolas, verticali e doppia ruota della morte, rispettivamente, le loro discipline. Si conferma, di anno in anno, la marcata connotazione multiculturale della manifestazione. La città di Latina si appresta a divenire per qualche giorno capitale mondiale delle Arti circensi. Imponenti le strutture che ospiteranno il Festival: una superficie di oltre 4.000 m2 in via Rossetti a Latina sta per essere trasformata in una delle più grandi cittadelle del Circo a livello internazionale.
13. DUO EL BESO
UCRAINA – PALO AEREO
Bellezza, rischio ed affidamento reciproco: queste le parole chiave atte a descrivere la sofisticata performance al palo aereo allestita da Kateryna e Ievgen. “Never tear us apart” di Bishop Briggs è la colonna sonora, evocativa e complice, che fa da cornice alle evoluzioni del Duo El Beso. Il “palo aereo”, per i due giovani acrobati, rappresenta la naturale evoluzione delle esperienze pregresse maturate esibendosi con un numero di “pole dance” tradizionale.
14. DUO OLMOS
SPAGNA – BASCULA
Rafa e Paco Olmos sono fratelli nella vita e compagni di lavoro in pista. Fanno parte di “Arte Algo”, una compagnia di Circo contemporaneo impegnata nella ricerca e nell’innovazione artistica. I fratelli Olmos si pongono un unico grande obiettivo: sorprendere il pubblico attraverso la contaminazione delle discipline circensi acrobatiche più tradizionali, come la bascula, con le loro competenze musicali e teatrali: rischio ed audacia, dunque, si fondono con estro e divertimento tipicamente giovanili.
15. SALY BROTHERS
ITALIA – BOLAS
Era il 2012 quando i fratelli Saly calcarono per la prima volta la pista del Festival in occasione della 14^ edizione. I due giovani artisti, che nel loro DNA recano il sigillo della più autentica tradizione circense italiana, rivelarono fin da allora un talento straordinario. Le “bolas”, la loro specialità, nascono come attrezzi di caccia: un tempo venivano usate come una sorta di lazo. Nelle mani dei fratelli Saly, le bolas, entro la spettacolare suggestione realizzata da acqua e suoni, diventano strumento capace di stupire, coinvolgere, sorprendere.
16. SASCHA BACHMANN
GERMANIA – VERTICALI
Sascha Bachmann è un giovane artista tedesco: nato a Chemnitz nel ’93, ha intrapreso la sua formazione come ginnasta a soli sei anni di età. Dal 2007, poi, presso la National Circus School di Montreal, Canada, si è preparato al debutto nel mondo del Circo. Il suo numero di verticali, originale, complesso ed evocativo, ha già raggiunto il grande pubblico sia nei Varietà che nelle più ampie platee circensi, compresa quella del celeberrimo Cirque du Soleil. La colonna sonora del numero, “To bring you my love” di PJ Harvey, bene incornicia la performance di Sascha.
17. TROUPE PERES
BRASILE, COLOMBIA, PORTOGALLO – DOPPIA RUOTA DELLA MORTE
Yorman, Colombia; Hans, Portogallo; Josselio, Brasile; Victor Manuel, Colombia: questa la composizione della Troupe Peres: quattro acrobati spericolati che si esibiscono in una delle discipline più pericolose del Circo, la ruota della morte; che, al Festival di Latina, sarà una doppia ruota: un attrezzo di grandi dimensioni che vedrà gli artisti esibirsi tanto al suo interno quanto, più pericolosamente, sulle sue superfici esterne. “The best”, di Tina Turner, a sottolineare i canoni di assoluta straordinarietà della performance.

Sabato 16 Ottobre ore 16.30 (spettacolo B) e ore 21.00 (spettacolo A);

Lunedì 18 Ottobre ore 20.30, Spettacolo di Gala e premiazione dei vincitori.

Gli spettacoli denominati A e B, pur essendo diversi, sono di identico ed elevatissimo livello dal punto di vista artistico e corrispondono esclusivamente alla ripartizione degli artisti in gara in due gruppi. Gli “Special Guest” saranno presenti in tutti gli spettacoli.

Countdown: - 25 days to the Festival
This year’s Festival cast becomes even more lavish, with the addition of 5 big numbers today.
The acts being announced today come from Ukraine, Spain, Italy, Brazil, and Portugal, and we continue in our manner of presenting acts that continue to represent traditional circus, as well as introducing innovative acts. Duo Besos, Duo Olmos, the Saly Brothers, Sascha Bachmann and Troupe Peres have all created numbers that will enthral the audiences of the International Circus Festival of Italy, which is taking place in Latina in just under a month; their disciplines are respectively aerial pole, bascule, bolas, hand balance, and a double wheel of death. We continue in our aim to hold a multicultural event, and the city of Latina is getting ready to be the capital of world circus arts for several days. Our imposing structures of over 4,000sqm are being prepared in via Rossetti at Latina to create one of the largest circus complexes of an international nature.

Beauty, risk, and mutual trust are the best keywords to describe this sophisticated aerial pole performance executed by Kateryna and Ievgen. The evocative and perfectly complementing music, ‘Never Tear Us Apart’ by Bishop Briggs, provides the background for the aerial acrobatics of Duo El Beso. The use of an ‘aerial pole’ in this number is a natural progression, developed from their experience in performing a traditional ‘pole dance’ number.

SPAGNA – BASCULA
SPAIN – TEETERBOARD
Rafa and Paco Olmos are real-life brothers and artistic partners. They belong to ‘Arte Algo’, a contemporary cicrus company dedicated to artistic innovation. The Olmos brothers have one big aim: to amaze the public with their skill using a traditional circus apparatus, the teeterboard, while also showing their theatrical and musical side, in a number that shows daring and risk alongside a fun interpretation with a fresh sense of humour.
15. SALY BROTHERS
ITALIA – BOLAS
ITALY - BOLAS
The Saly Brothers first performed at the Festival in Latina in 2012, during the 14th edition of the event. These young performers, whose genes exude traditional Italian circus, already showed extraordinary talent and showmanship. Their speciality is the ‘bolas’, which were an apparatus once used in hunting as a sort of weighted lasso. The bolas, in the expert hands of the Saly Brothers, become a strikingly spectacular apparatus that shocks and astounds in a symphony of water and sounds
16. SASCHA BACHMANN
GERMANIA – VERTICALI
GERMANY – HAND BALANCE
Sascha Bachmann is a young German performer: born in Chemnitz in 1993, he started training as a gymnast at the age of six, going on to train at the National Circus School of Montréal, Canada from 2007, in preparation for his début in the circus world. His original, complex, and moody number has already been seen by the public in variety venues and at big circus events, including the celebrated Cirque du Soleil. His act is accompanied by ‘To Bring You My Love’ buy PJ Harvey, which perfectly complements this performance by Sascha.

BRASILE, COLOMBIA, PORTOGALLO – DOPPIA RUOTA DELLA MORTE
BRAZIL, COLOMBIA, PORTUGAL – DOUBLE WHEEL OF DEATH
Yorman, Colombia; Hans, Portugal; Josselio, Brazil; Victor Manuel, Colombia: this is the composition of Troupe Peres: four acrobats performing in one of the most dangerous of all the Circus disciplines, the wheel of death. At the Festival in Latina, this will involve a double wheel of death, with a huge apparatus: the artists will perform perilously outside the wheel as well as inside! ‘The Best’ by Tina Turner will provide an exhilarating background to this fantastic performance.

Sunday, October 17th at 3.30pm (show A) and 7pm (show B);

Spettacoli A e B:
Although they are two different shows, shows A and B are of the same high artistic level, and are simply a division of the competing artists into two separate shows. The ‘Special Guests’ will be performing in all shows.
