So if you have been following my posts recently you will know that the UK is trying to ban animals in UK circuses under a bill based on ethical grounds. The bill is severely flawed and discriminative. We have a great team of people working on this including a very hard working Rona Brown and the next part of our strategy is to forward the following letter to the list of Lords attached. I’m asking everyone who is willing, to please copy and paste the letter and send it off to each individual Lord, Baroness, Viscount and Earl in the attached list. It costs you nothing only your time. LETTER:

Dear Lord or Baroness (please enter the correct recipient)

I am writing to you to ask for your support in questioning the passage of the Wild Animals in Travelling Circuses (No2) Bill due for report stage on Wednesday 17th July 2019.The Bill is disproportionate and vexatious and it is discriminatory. Why do the constraints of the Bill apply to animals that are within circuses and not those that are kept in other private ownership, for use at agricultural shows such as camel racing and in film productions such as lions and tigers, all of which travel around the countryside to work.The government says “this is an ethical Bill”. Should the views and opinions of some people be imposed on a small minority without the backing of science or facts? It is bad and indeed dangerous legislation. Why should the government criminalise the activity of animals in circuses without evidence of significant harm whether to people or animals? The government has conceded there is no evidence here. It is a Bill without an evidential basis to justify its introduction.If this is an Ethical Bill it is very contentious. It is difficult, on ethical grounds, to single out animals in circuses from animals involved in almost any other relationship with humans, such as, zoos, birds of prey, horse racing, through to eating meat and even keeping pets.This Bill gives in to the animal rights movement. A Bill such as this with no evidence to support it adds fuel to those causes.This Bill is an infringement of Article 56 on the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union and a breach of the Charter of Fundamental Rights, Articles 15 and 16. It is also in breach of the European Communities Act 1972 which states that – (Under the terms of the 1972 Act it has always been clear that it was the duty of a United Kingdom court, when delivering final judgment, to override any rule of national law found to be in conflict with any directly enforceable rule of Community law. )The Bill is unnecessary as perfectly sufficient strict licensing regulations have been in force for 7 years, with Defra Veterinary professionals inspecting circuses 7 times a year with no problems regarding the health, welfare and wellbeing of the animals and no problems with the circus owner’s ethical treatment of their beloved animals. The circuses wish to keep this licensing system and have it renewed when the sunset clause comes in on 20th January 2020.Could you please support a rethink of this Bill as when judgments are made about such matters it is important to do so based on evidence, rationality and proportionality. It is not fair to dismiss a lifetime of cultural heritage with the nod of the head without a thorough investigation of the truth.

Quindi, se hai seguito i miei post di recente, saprai che il Regno Unito sta cercando di vietare gli animali nei circhi del Regno Unito con un disegno di legge basato su motivi etici. Il conto è gravemente imperfetto e discriminatorio. Abbiamo una grande squadra di persone che lavorano su questo, tra cui una Rona Brown molto dura e la prossima parte della nostra strategia è quella di inoltrare la seguente lettera alla lista dei Lord in allegato. Chiedo a tutti coloro che sono disposti a compiacere di copiare e incollare la lettera e inviarla a ogni singolo Signore, Baronessa, Visconte e Earl nell'elenco allegato. Non ti costa nulla solo il tuo tempo. (Abbiamo già pagato l'ufficio legale ?)

MOLTO IMPORTANTE:
1. Devi inviare una e-mail separata a ogni singolo Signore, Baronessa, Visconte e Earl
2. Includi i tuoi dettagli di contatto con una breve introduzione di te stesso
3. Prova a inviare le tue e-mail prima di lunedì mattina perché dà loro il tempo di discutere, anche martedì funzionerà, ma per il massimo impatto il lunedì mattina è il migliore.

Il disegno di legge non è necessario in quanto sono in vigore da 7 anni regolamenti rigorosi di licenza rigorosi, con i professionisti della Defra Veterinary che controllano i circhi 7 volte all'anno senza problemi per la salute, il benessere e il benessere degli animali e senza problemi con il trattamento etico del proprietario del circo dei loro amati animali. I circhi desiderano mantenere questo sistema di licenze e rinnovarlo quando entrerà in vigore la clausola sul tramonto il 20 gennaio 2020.
Potresti sostenere un ripensamento di questo disegno di legge come quando i giudizi su tali questioni sono importanti, in base a prove, razionalità e proporzionalità. Non è giusto liquidare una vita di patrimonio culturale con il cenno del capo senza un'indagine approfondita della verità.
