La #19ª edizione dell’International Circus Festival of Italy sta per prendere il via, l’area è pronta e cominciano le prime prove degli artisti. Il sipario si alzerà ufficialmente la mattina Giovedì 18 con il primo dei due spettacoli dedicati alle scuole. Il cast è ricchissimo e gli artisti sono divisi in due spettacoli da non perdere. La principale caratteristica della #19ª edizione del Festival Internazionale del Circo d’Italia è l’originalità, i 14 numeri in scaletta per ogni spettacolo saranno unici ed imperdibili. Gli spettacoli saranno presentati da Andrea Giachi; la Direzione di Pista sarà affidata a Tommy Cardarelli coadiuvato da Fabrizio Montico e da Ruby Merzari. L’Orchestra Ufficiale del Festival della 19ª edizione vedrà impegnati Lorenzo Mancini al Basso Elettrico, Marco Russo a Piano e Tastiere, Daniele Manciocchi al Sax, Mario Caporilli alla Tromba e Stefano Coccia al Trombone, saranno diretti da Fabiano Giovannelli che suonerà anche la Batteria. Gli arrangiamenti sono di Guido Naus. Il momento dedicato alle risate è affidato ai Clown Saly, Elisa e Gyula esilarante coppia non solo sotto lo Chapiteau ma anche nella vita e a Konstantin Gerasimenko, che porterà in pista i capolavori della clownerie di tutti i tempi. Edizione dedicata ai festeggiamenti per i 250 anni della nascita del circo moderno, la prima famiglia di Circensi Italiana è stata quella dei Togni che per l’occasione tornano a Latina dopo 10 anni. Molto atteso Flavio Togni, guest star fuori concorso che porterà in pista un carosello equestre composto da otto cavalli arabi in libertà magistralmente addestrati, protagonisti di una serie di passaggi, incroci e spettacolari debout, realizzato appositamente per questa edizione del Festival. Al suo fianco la nuova generazione Togni con l’alta scuola di Enis, Claudio, Ilaria e Bruno protagonisti di un quadro di alta scuola ispirato al colore bianco, estratto dallo spettacolo White, diretto da Antonio Giarola: un tableau equestre che vede in scena razze equine spagnole e lusitane, caratterizzato da stile ed eleganza propri della famiglia Togni. Ritroveremo Bruno con la prima assoluta del suo numero di sette tigri (tra cui una bianca) da lui stesso cresciute ed addestrate in una presentazione che rivela la perfetta sintonia con gli animali. In gara al doppio trapezio anche Sarah e Adriana Togni in un tango aereo sensuale ed accattivante. Fra le novità in assoluto al Festival anche l’adagio acrobatico in equilibrio su di un Hoverboard. Le due giovani artiste, Yoka e Nazerke provengono dal Kazakhstan e mettono d’accordo la tradizione e la modernità. Durante l’esibizione le ragazze daranno prova di grande destrezza su di una tavola biciclica autobilanciata che si muove grazie a una combinazione di informatica, elettronica e meccanica. Tutti i numeri in gara si esibiranno davanti a due giurie, la Giuria Tecnica Internazionale composta dai massimi esperti del settore e ad una Giuria della Critica costituita da giornalisti e personalità del mondo dello spettacolo.

Calendario: Giovedì 18 Ottobre ore 10 (matinée) e ore 21.00 (spettacolo A);

Venerdì 19 Ottobre ore 10 (matinée) e ore 21.00 (spettacolo B);

Sabato 20 Ottobre ore 16.30 (spettacolo B) e ore 21.00 (spettacolo A);

Domenica 21 Ottobre ore 15.30 (spettacolo A) e ore 19.00 (spettacolo B);

Lunedì 22 Ottobre ore 20.30 Spettacolo di Gala e premiazione dei vincitori.

Gli spettacoli denominati A e B, pur essendo diversi, sono d’identico ed elevatissimo livello dal punto di vista artistico e corrispondono esclusivamente alla ripartizione degli artisti in gara in due gruppi. Gli “Special Guest” saranno presenti in tutti gli spettacoli.

Two separate shows with 14 original numbers in each show, live music and many additional events

19th edition of the International Circus Festival of Italy, rehearsals start soon

The Festival starts on Thursday, October 18 with the first shows and a parade through the city streets

The 19th edition of the International Circus Festival of Italy is about to start, the tents are up, and the performers are starting to rehearse. The curtain goes up officially on the Festival on the morning of Thursday, October 18, with the first of two shows that day, a morning show that will be attended by groups of schoolchildren. The cast is fantastic, and the performers are divided into two show groups. The main characteristic of this 19th edition of the International Circus Festival of Italy is the uniqueness of the acts: the 14 numbers in each show are not to be missed.

The shows will be presented by Andrea Giachi and the ringmaster is Tommy Cardarelli, assisted by Fabrizio Montico and Ruby Merzari.

The official band for the 19th edition is composed of Lorenzo Mancini on the electric bass, Marco Russo on piano and keyboards, Daniele Manciocchi on the saxophone, Mario Caporilli on the trumpet, and Stefano Coccia on the trombone. The band is directed by Fabiano Giovanelli, who is also the drummer. Musical arrangements are by Guido Naus.

Light-hearted moments will be provided by Elisa and Gyula, a couple onstage as well as in their everyday lives, working as the duo Clown Saly. Konstantin Gerasimenko will also be making us laugh with his hilarious clown gags.

This edition is dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the birth of modern circus, and who better to represent this than the first family of Italian Circus, the Tognis, who return to the ring in Latina after 10 years. Flavio Togni, the eagerly awaited non-competing guest star at this edition, is performing with eight Arabian Horses, who he will be directing in a series of crossovers, turns, and ‘debout’ choreographed specially for this year’s Festival. With him will be the new generation of the Togni family, Enis, Claudio, Ilaria and Bruno, performing a haute ècole number inspired by the colour white, and taken from the show ‘White’ directed by Antonio Giarola: an equestrian tableau that showcases both the Spanish and Lusitano horse and the style and elegance of the Togni family. Bruno Togni will also perform a début number with seven tigers (one of which is white) that he personally reared and trained, in a number that demonstrates the harmony that he shares with his animals.

Sarah and Adriana Togni will be competing with a sensual and captivating aerial tango double trapeze number.

Amongst the novelty acts at this year’s Festival will be an acrobatic adage balancing on a hoverboard: two young performers from Kazakhstan, Yoka and Nazerke, combine tradition and innovation. During their number these two young girls will perform acrobatics whilst balancing on an electro-mechanical device.

All the competing numbers in the shows will perform in front of two separate juries, The International Technical Jury, which is composed of world-renowned circus experts, and the Critics Jury, which is composed of journalists and personalities from the world of showbiz.

Shows A and B, whilst containing different acts, are both of the same high artistic and technical level. This simply reflects the necessary division of the 27 numbers into two shows.

The ‘Special Guests’ will perform in all shows.
